For all pictures:

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your dancers time slot if you plan on completing hair and make up at the studio. Alternatively, you can arrive 15 minutes prior to dancers time IF hair and make up are fully completed at home. The 15 minutes prior only gives us enough time to get costumes on kiddos and line them up for their picture time.

Recital Countdown – Important Dates & Reminders

Hey Parents!

It’s hard to believe, but we’re down to the final 10 weeks of our ballet season before recital—time is flying! We have some important updates and reminders as we head into the home stretch.

Upcoming Breaks & Days Off

📅 Spring Break: April 7th–11th (No Classes)
📅 Memorial Day: We will also be observing this holiday.
Other than these, classes will continue as scheduled.

Blocking Day – June 13th

📍 Location: Deer Park High School
⏳ Time Commitment: About 45 minutes per class
Your dancer should arrive in their regular class attire. This is not a dress rehearsal—just a chance for them to get comfortable on stage and run through their routine. Please make this a priority! This step is so important in helping them feel confident on recital day.

Recital Day – June 14th

🎉 The big day is almost here! Your dancers have been working so hard, and we cannot wait to showcase their talent. Please plan to dedicate the entire day to recital. Invite friends and family—this is a huge milestone!

Times are posted on our website—please screenshot and add them to your calendar. Remember, pictures are included in your recital fee, so there is no extra cost to you!

Payment Reminders

💳 Please ensure all outstanding balances, including your recital fee, are paid by May 1st.

Hair & Makeup Requirements

For Ballet:
💇‍♀️ Hair: High ballet bun (slicked back with gel and hairspray, secured with a hairnet)
💄 Makeup: Foundation, pink blush, natural eyeshadow tones, eyeliner, mascara, and pink lipstick

For All Other Styles:
Tiffany will provide specific makeup instructions for each class.

Final Practices Matter!

As we approach recital, consistent attendance is crucial. Please do your best to have your child at each practice so they feel prepared and confident.

Recital Prep & Important Updates for Soul Dance Families! 🌟

Hi Soul Dance Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break and a fantastic start to the New Year! We’re thrilled to be back in the studio and, although June feels far away, we are diving into recital preparation to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Costume Measurements & Recital Deposit
In the next two weeks, your dancers will be measured in class for their recital costumes. To get the ball rolling, I have posted the $30 recital deposit to your Dance Studio Pro account. If you have an outstanding balance, this deposit will be added to it.

Tuition Payments
Please make sure any unpaid tuition for December and January is taken care of. I strive to offer flexibility, but your tuition payments are essential to keeping our studio thriving. If you need more time to pay, don’t hesitate to reach out so we can work something out.

No-Class Dates
Mark your calendars! There will be no classes on the following dates:

• January 20th

• February 17th

As a reminder, we follow the school district calendar for all holidays.

Zoom Meeting Update
As mentioned in my recent text, I will be traveling to Oregon this weekend for a funeral and will not be able to host our scheduled Zoom meeting on the 10th. Instead, please email me any questions you have about the recital after reading this email. I will create a video addressing your questions to ensure everyone is well-informed.

Why Recital Matters
Recital is such a powerful and rewarding experience for our dancers. It’s their chance to showcase everything they’ve worked so hard to learn, building confidence that will serve them for a lifetime.

Recital Details
Here are some key details to note:

• Recital Date: June 14th, 2025

• Dress Rehearsal: June 13th, 2025, at Deer Park High School (times TBD based on the school’s availability).

• Recital Fee: $200 per student. This covers costumes, recital portraits, video, a keepsake T-shirt, venue costs, and instructor hours for rehearsal and recital day. Families with multiple dancers will see the appropriate discount applied, just like with tuition.

• Recital Deposit: Posted on accounts as of today; the remainder will be posted next month.

• Vacations: Please avoid scheduling vacations right before recital, as practices leading up to the performance are critical for your dancer’s success.

Recital Picture Days

• Deer Park: May 17th at the Deer Park studio.

• Chewelah: May 18th at the Chewelah studio.

Performance Day Info

• Tentative performance times are 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Finalized times will be shared once we’ve completed the recital layout and song compilations.

• Each class will have a designated space to hang out and play during the performances.

• Parent volunteers will be needed for both shows. Volunteer sign-ups will be posted on Dance Studio Pro in May.

Hair & Makeup Simplified
This year, hair and makeup requirements for the recital will be simplified compared to last year. Details will be shared soon!

Exciting Updates for Parent Week, Holiday Break, and Recital Prep!

Dear Dance Parents,

We’re thrilled to share a few important updates and reminders with you!

Parent Week – Join the Fun!
Next week is Parent Week, and we invite one parent or guardian (18+) to join their dancer in class and experience the joy of dancing together! Please make arrangements for younger siblings to stay home if possible so we can focus on this special time with your dancer.

Holiday Break Reminder
Our studio will be closed for Christmas Break from December 21st to January 5th. Classes will resume on Monday, January 6th, and when we return, we’ll dive right into recital preparation.

Recital Updates
If you are not planning to participate in the recital, please let me know as soon as possible.
For those who joined our program this month, please refer to our website for all recital-related information. The website is also a fantastic resource to stay updated on schedules, policies, and events.

Tuition Reminder
To stay current, please ensure tuition payments are submitted by the 10th of every month.

Parent Meeting – January 10th on Zoom
Mark your calendars for our next parent meeting on January 10th via Zoom. During this meeting, I’ll share more about the recital, why it’s such a meaningful experience, and the many benefits it provides for our dancers.

Exciting Holiday Events & Parent Participation Week! 🎄

Dear Dance Families,

We are thrilled to announce our 2nd Annual Christmas Parents' Week, happening December 16th - 20th! This is an incredible opportunity for you to join your dancer in class and experience the magic firsthand. That’s right—you’ll get to dance with your kiddo! Dust off those workout clothes, bring your energy, and be ready for a FUN and memorable class together.

Details for Parents' Week:

• Who can participate: One adult (18+) per child

• What to expect: A joyful, interactive class where you and your dancer will create special holiday memories together.

Additionally, we have another festive event just for you and your family:

Cocoa with Santa

• When: December 8th, 3:00–4:30 PM

• Where: Deer Park Studio

• What to expect: Enjoy hot cocoa, take pictures with Santa, and soak in the holiday spirit. Feel free to bring the whole family to this fun and cozy event!

As we gear up for Christmas break and these exciting activities, I also want to share how much I appreciate this dance community. After the holidays, we’ll dive right into recital planning, and I am committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.

I know this year has been a little different for me, as I’m teaching 8 classes between both studios. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to meet all of you personally, and for that, I sincerely apologize. If I could be in all places at once, I absolutely would! Please know that I am always available via email, which is the quickest and easiest way to reach me.

Important Holiday and Recital Updates for Soul Studios Dance Parents

Dear Dance Families,

As we approach the holiday season, we want to share important dates and updates regarding our dance schedule and recital preparations.

Holiday Schedule

• Thanksgiving Break: No classes from November 27th - December 1st.

• Christmas Break: No classes from December 21st - January 5th.

Classes will resume on Monday, January 6th, as we gear up for recital season!

Recital Preparations Begin in January

Starting in January, our focus will shift towards recital preparation. We kindly ask for your commitment to the program for the remainder of the season by December 31st. All recital information can be found on our website for your reference.

Parent Meeting Details

We will hold a Parent Meeting on January 10th at 7 PM via Zoom.

• A Zoom link will be posted on Dance Studio Pro under "Announcements/Notes."

• If you haven’t yet, please download the Dance Studio Pro app and log in to your parent account. From the app:

  • Click on "More", then scroll to "News & Notes" for updates.

Costume Measurement & Fees

After the parent meeting, our staff will begin measuring students and ordering costumes. To secure costumes:

• $30 Costume Fee: Due on January 10th.

• Recital Fee Balance: Due by March 15th.

Recital Details

• Recital Date: June 14th, 2025, at Deer Park High School.

• Recital Fee: $200 per child (all-inclusive).

  • Includes costumes (yours to keep), recital photos (digital files), a digital recording of the recital, and a keepsake recital T-shirt.

  • Ticket Fee: $6 per ticket, helping cover venue costs.

Hello Soul Parents! Please read all the way through!

We are so excited for this upcoming year of dance. Deer Park classes start THIS WEEK! Chewelah starts on the 23rd!! Going forward, all dates will be the same for the Deer Park and Chewelah locations. This included parent meetings, no dance days and recital. We will have one recital, if our program grows significantly in Chewelah next year, we will most likely split to two recitals. All our “no dance” dates are posted on your dance studio pro account, but for your connivence, the list will also be at the end of this email. A list will also be in both studios by the the end of the month.  

Classes are filling QUICKLY. Registration will remain open until December 31st, some of our classes are already full so if you have friends or family that is thinking of signing their kiddos up, please let them know the sooner the better, as spots are not unlimited.

As stated on our main page on the website for dance, when you signed up for dance you paid June 2025 tuition. Meaning, your September tuition is due this month. You will pay tuition on the 1st of every month September- May. You will have already paid for June, and we will be going through the end of June for dance. Recital is the 13th and 14th, so the following 2 weeks of the month we have a lot of fun things planned to celebrate another successful year.

The only exception to this is- if you signed up AFTER 9.9.24, then you will pay a June Tuition because you just paid for September when you signed up.

Please note- tuition is not AUTO PAY unless you signed up for AUTO PAY. This month tuition was posted on the 9th and is due by the 20th. Starting October tuition will be posted on the first of every month and due by the 10th. After the 10th there will be a late fee. If you want to have a hassle free payment that is AUTO PAY’ed on the 1st of each month, please sign up for AUTO PAY on Dance Studio Pro.

As a reminder, even through your tuition is broken up into monthly payments, tuition is an overall cost. Meaning we took what our program cost in total and divided it equally over the 10 months that we are in session. Some months will have 5 weeks and some will have 3 weeks that we are open for classes, this does not change your monthly payment as it is divided equally.

If you need to split payments between parents or grandparents, please let me know.

Our first parent meeting is October 18th at 6:30pm. Location is the Old Creamery in Deer Park. This meeting will be to discuss recital fundraising! If you are wanting to participate/reap the benefits fundraising, please try and make it. You as the parents will be in charge of fundraising for recital, and whatever effort you put into it will go directly to your student. As a reminder all our recital information is on the main page of our dance website.

Our first PARENT WEEK will be the week of the 16th of December. More details to come on this, but it’s the absolute best week!!

If for some reason we have snow storms that shut things down, we will communicate via text and email! Hopefully we will have a great winter!

For those of you who are new to our program this year, we want to outline a few important details:

1. Email is the primary method of communication for updates; please save jenna@soulstudiospnw.com to your contact list so that our updates are not filtered into spam. ALL EMAILS will say “Soul Studios”

2. All of our current program information, including tuition, parent meeting dates, recital information, and policies can be found on our website, www.soulstudiospnw.com.

3. We use Dance Studio Pro for managing classes, tuition, and registration. There is an app available for download, where you can see your class schedule and our studio calendar, as well as manage tuition payments.

We follow the Deer Park School schedule for holidays, with a few exceptions as we approach our June recital. The recital is June 14th, 2025. It will be held at the Deer Park High School Theater, with performances at 12 PM and 3 PM. The recital theme this year is Candyland. We will hold a rehearsal on June 13th at the Deer Park High School Performing Arts Center, followed by two performance times on June 14th to accommodate all family and friends.

At Soul Studios, we are working hard to ensure that the event is well organized, and our top priority is that you, as parents, feel valued and fully informed throughout the process.

Recital is such a special experience for your kiddos! I still remember my first dance performance—it was truly magical, and we want to create that same sense of wonder for your children. It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate all they’ve learned this year, and we can’t wait to see them shine on stage!

Recital Fees: As stated on our website, the recital fee is $200 per student. This covers everything, including costumes and pictures, so there are no extra fees. We strive to keep this experience affordable while covering our costs, including the hard work and long hours our wonderful instructors put in to make this event special.

For any questions about what the recital fee covers, please refer to the main dance page on our website, where we break it all down.

Fundraising (Optional): We also want to remind you that fundraising is optional. We’ve provided a document that you can print and use for your own fundraising efforts. Please note, this is for your individual use—we are not coordinating this as a studio, nor are we handling any fundraising money. If you raise more than you need for the recital, the extra funds are yours to use however you see fit.
